The school system in Haiti is not free, and many children there are not able to attend due to the costs. ACFFC ensures that all of our students attend school. We pay for registration, books, uniforms, school supplies, exam fees, and tuition. ACFFC also has its own after-school curriculum, which includes onsite English classes, critical thinking, creativity as a process, community service, collaboration, environmentalism, and social justice.
English Classes: Students are learning to speak and write in English. Having the ability to be speakers of English opens opportunities for our students in business and commerce.
While ACFFC provides for educational expenses, the Haitian school system can be difficult to navigate for our students. ACFFC aspires to have paid, on-site tutors to work with our students on a daily basis, so that their academic performance can improve.
